Owl Creek Kennels - Back Home to Nome

September 2, 2009:  Well training has officially started for the 2010 racing season.  We have 7 gorgeous yearlings training this year:  Bo, Luke, Daisy, Horatio, Alexx, Yelina and Natalia.  Also Sandy has joined the group.  So over all the team is looking good.  They are all running like pros and never want to stop.  With all the rain we have had the water is rather high and so they aren't enjoying that a whole lot but they are really good and run right through.  We are also improving the barn so it is now what I have dubbed the "dogmahal".  I will post some pictures once it is complete.  Right now we are waiting for some dry days so I can get it painted and the wood hauled up to the lot to put it all together.  Though I don't know what the race season holds, I am hoping to come up with the money to run Iditarod again.  But we will see.  Thats all for now.  Keep checking back for more updates and I will try to update every once in a while as I get a chance.
